Options Trading Systems – What Works?

There are thousands of options trading systems available on the internet. Most promise guaranteed profits with little or no work. The truth is that options trading systems are a good way to profit with options trading. How do you know which system actually works? I will outline a system for trading binary options that can reduce your risk, and potentially increase profits. If you are wondering, binary options are “all or nothing” options. If the option expires in the money, you receive a fixed profit percentage. If it expires out of the money you receive 0-15% of the investment back.

One system, or strategy, is the primary system used when binary options are involved. I will discuss it in a moment. Before I do, I want to talk about the risks involved. Options trading systems are not a sure bet. The random, and unpredictable fluctuations in the stock market don’t allow for a sure fire way to make profits. If that was possible, everyone would do it! The idea of options trading systems is to minimize risk, and maximize profits. They cannot guarantee anything. The short term losses will need to be outweighed by long term success. This can be achieved much more often when options trading systems are used. The best thing you can do is employ a proven system, and stick with it. You stand a much better chance for success than if no system is used.

Okay, on to the system. Binary options are simple. They work in a similar way to vanilla options, but in a much shorter timeframe, and with fixed returns. What you want to do to minimize risk, is buy a call, and a put option on the same underlying asset. You must purchase one before the other. For instance, if you think an asset is going to go up, buy a call option. The only way options trading systems like this work, is if your investment is in the money, but has yet to reach expiration. Assuming you purchased a one day call option at 10:00 am, and at 12:00 noon, you are in the money. At this point you might consider purchasing a put option on the same asset. This will hedge your investment. Now you have two strike prices. One is a call option at a lower level, and the other is a put option at a higher level. If the asset expires between these levels, you will double your gains. If the asset expires higher than the put option strike price, you will minimize your losses. If the asset expires below the call option strike price you once again will cut your losses substantially.

Options trading systems like this are simply meant to lower risks, and maximize profits. With binary options you can utilize a very simple strategy, and if you manage it correctly, you can reduce losses by 75%, and increase gains by 100%.
