Dickson G. Watts was born in Kentucky and moved to New York City. He joined the New York Cotton Exchange in 1870 and was its President twice, serving from 1878 – 1880. Trading was in the Watts blood — his son Samuel was a member of the NYSE.
Many traders refer to “Speculation As A Fine Art” as one of the most insightful books and in the same vein as Edwin Lefevre’s “Reminiscences Of A Stock Operator.”
